Central Machinery Services, Ballarat’s leading Farm Machinery Dealership and Service Centre, is currently looking for a Qualified Diesel Mechanic. The ideal candidate would be able to provide technical mechanical expertise to assemble, maintain, service and repair machinery and equipment. All delivered in a timely and accurate manner.

Essential Criteria

• Have permanent rights to work in Australia without restrictions 
• Qualified diesel mechanic
• Experience in agricultural machinery repair and diagnosis
• Able to clearly communicate both written and verbally
• Able to complete tasks in a timely manner to the required standard
• Able to follow instructions 
• Excellent attention to detail & problem-solving abilities
• Good housekeeping practices 
• Good time management skills 
• Strong commitment to health and safety

 Preferred Criteria

• Forklift licence 
• Always striving to learn and expand their knowledge base
• Current manual driver's license

Key Tasks

• Reporting to the Service Manager
• Ability to diagnose, action and repair mechanical faults in equipment for maximum reliability
• Servicing and repairs to machinery of all kinds
• Communicate effectively with customers, technicians, manufacturers and alike
• Utilize computer skills to access and navigate through workshop manuals and other technician information sources to ensure the job can be completed to the required specifications
• Be available for after-hours call out and rotating weekend roster during busy times of the year 
• Comply with all OH&S policies and procedures, as well as company policy and procedures
